The house basically has three rooms: the kitchen/diner, bedroom and small sitting room with open roof terrace. There is also a shower-room/wc. It's small but it all works very well.
The ground floor kitchen/diner has all you need including a good wood burning stove for cooler months. There are also electric heaters should you need them. The bedroom on the first floor is fine with adequate storage and a good bed. The sitting room on the top floor is small but with big windows looking onto a similarly sized roof terrace where you can sit out. It is all well decorated and very well kept. The owner is local and very helpful.
We found parking right outside the front door to be easy, but it was a French school holiday period, but parking is not going to be a problem.
The town is small but manages three or more bakeries, several restaurants and bars, post office, butcher and good modern super market - all within walking distance. It also has a good cave cooperative selling its good wine at good prices under the name of "Brian".
On Tuesdays there is an enormous local market running through half of the town. It's very good with a wide range of products. Excellent for vegetables etc. The market comes within about 80m of the house - no need to drive and park.
Further afield, there's lots to see and do and getting around by car is easy.
We enjoyed our stay and will return.

The property was clean, spacious and comfortable and had a good assortment of pans and cooking utensils for cooking (important for me as I have food allergies and struggle to eat in restaurants). The pool was lovely - spacious with loungers and deck chairs and a gate restricting access from the grounds into the pool area, but not to the pool itself. Some of the gym equipment did not work but not a big deal for us. Off road gated car parking shared with adjoining gite and was big enough for 5 cars.
Washing line provision for drying pool towels and washing. Lovely fig trees in the garden (& can eat the fruit!!). Argens Minervois is a pretty canalside village. There were 2 restaurants and a food shop in the village (bikes available for use for the bread run etc) and Supermarkets (Intermarche, Lidl, Aldi,& Spar) within 5 miles.We enjoyed many walks along the Canal du Midi (some lock gates had cafe's and restaurants) and the local lake 5 mins from the apartment.. Narbonne 40 minutes by car, Beziers 1hr, Carcassonne 1 hr, Perpignan 1.5 hrs.
Good base for exploring the area - so many places to visit within an hours drive. Minerve warrants a special mention as so pretty and only 25 minutes drive away and nice walks. Plenty of leaflets in apartment and guides books (in French), you will not be short of ideas for visiting towns, monuments or wandering the canal network or hiring boat on the canal.
Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would like to return in the future.
