The accommodation was good, Rustic French. Clean and reasonably equipped except there was no welcome pack or English instructions on how to use equipment. .. Madam explained as best she could how to use the TV. When we tried to use it , it did not work.. We did not report this as her English was as bad as our French. We also had a problem with insect bites. the vegetable garden is directly in front of the property, Very good veg fed with horse manure attracted the insects. In the e mails sent out by the company they made it clear that we should not deal in cash with the owner so to say we were surprised when we were asked by the owner for E50 for cleaning the property upon our departure, There was notice on the wall to state 50 euros would be required for cleaning. The owner came round the evening before our departure to collect this. Rather than argue we gave her the money. This I find disappointing as the owner made comment ( kept saying tre bon as she inspected the rooms and toilet before we left) My wife made sure that every thing was clean and tidy with bed linen neatly folded on the bed The swimming pool was excellent and the beds very comfortable to sleep in.

  • An enjoyable stay in Aix

Thank you Caroline & Laurent for your advice & hospitality. We spent a lovely week in sunny Aix with my son & his girlfriend. Your property was the perfect location. So easy to jump on the local bus into the city which was available at regular intervals. We got some very useful information regarding places to visit from Caroline & Laurent. We did most of the recommendations but ran out of time. Arles was a city we wanted to visit but unfortunately a week was not enough. Hopefully next time we visit France we will get there. With kind regards, Lynda & Tim Johnson
