A sunny hidden gem in Pollett-Dieppe.

4 of 5
Everything about description is true. Light and deceivingly spacious. Lots of local shops, bars and eating places nearby. Good parking on road outside. Well equipped but lacked a radio and access to English Channel on T.V. Large apple noticeboard in kitchen for local markets, wifi and refuse collection days. We overlooked this and had to phone owner for wifi access. Good base for sightseeing. Dieppe Town Centre is very busy especially on market days, Saturday being the largest. Lovely bathroom and electric shutters to the rear of the property are excellent. Owner explained she still has the old wooden shutters in the 2 front bedrooms. Would recommend.

Hot Stuff!

5 of 5
We were a group of two couples, all retired pensioners and this was our first time in this part of Normandy. We did not know quite what to expect when we arrived but we were certainly not disappointed. The whole property seemed as though it had only just undergone a total makeover and was bright, clean and very welcoming. We particularly enjoyed having our own piece of garden to sit out in during the long summer evenings (daytime temperatures reached 34 degrees centigrade). Most evenings we were joined by Karine's dog (Fiji?) which seemed to enjoy our company and played a good game of football. The gite was very comfortable, well furnished and met all our holiday needs though we would have liked a few more large wine glasses as well as some beer glasses. But these were only minor points and in no way detracted from our enjoyment of the house and its surroundings. The gite itself is part of a larger house and is surrounded by farmland with a pond for ducks close by. We were all delighted with the atmosphere of being away from passing traffic and the bustle of town life. However the nearest town and market is only a short drive away and provides a plentiful supply of local produce. Sadly our stay of just under a week was far too short for us to see all that we wanted and we hope to return in the not too distant future.
