Very well equiped, clean and comfortable chalet

5 of 5
Chalet was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay - including towels and bedding. There was even a Nespresso capsule coffee machine! Washing machine, tumble drier and boot heater meant we could minimise our packing - everything was warm and dry again for next morning. We also made use of the outdoor furniture to enjoy the afternoon sunshine on the balcony. Skiiing the 3 Valloire / Valmenier mountains was great. The last week of March still had some recent snow on runs all the way down to the town, and there are a good mix of long wide easier and middle ability slopes from top to bottom. Crey du Quart snow park offered some fun for the children, and there are also some long black runs for those wanting a bit more of a challenge, although only a couple remained fully open. The children enjoyed the ESI ski school. We found Magnin Sport offered good value for our ski hire. Not enough snow to ski to the lift, but a free shuttle bus collected us to get to the lift (either Moulin Benjamin or the telecabins in town) in time for ski lessons. The trick was to time arriving at the bus stop for the return journey without having to wait too long (40 mins between buses out of local school holidays). Carrefour in the village meant we didn't have to go far for anything we needed. Aubepine Meunie was very easy to talk to either by mail or phone and provided lots of useful information to help us to prepare our stay. Arrival and departure went very smoothly - facilitated by a local agent.
