Lovely rustic Eco Cottage.

5 of 5
We spent 10 days there, it is a very quiet location and had nice weather. There were 2 of us staying at the cottage which was very comfortable, It has most of the basics you might need, but you may want to bring an iron. We ate in most nights, the kitchen is well equipped and the cooker is easy to use. The Eco toilet in the cottage ( a biodegradable bag in a bucket with a toilet seat and sawdust) was not a problem for us, it does not leave an odour as you may think. There are some nice walks from the cottage, eg the viaduct or you can walk to the beach in 30 minuets or 5 mins in the car. There is a village, Saint - Pierre -Eglise 10 minutes drive away, it is a lovely area with traditional buildings and has a market every Wednesday . There is a large supermarket near by called Carrefour. We ate out at the Maison Rouge the food was very good and with the view, looking out to the sea was very romantic. In Cherbourg waiting for the ferry home, we visited the Umberella museum which was interesting. And had lunch at a small restaurant called The melting pot which we can also recommend. The food was lovely but not hot or spicy as expected, the portions are large you may want to share a plate. We are looking forward to a holiday in the area again. Joanna & Keith.

Tasteful,immaculate and bright.

The owners were charming and welcoming, the gite was immaculate and spotless. Although the gite was not on its own private site it was very private and secluded nestling in a large mature and spacious garden. Highly recommended, many thanks to Francoise and Thierry. Ian and Lynn.
