- A relaxing stay here at Le Padouen
We had a lovely relaxing holiday and enjoyed our stay at Le Padouen. There was plenty of room with 11 of us staying here with lovely big bathrooms, a big kitchen and spacious bedrooms. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and a nice big BBQ. The children loved the pool which later in the day was partly shaded with the trees which was great on really hot days. The grounds of the gite are big with some lovely fig trees and raspberry to sample with plenty of space to play games. Lots of markets nearby to buy tasty local produce. Great places we would recommend to visit are Lourdes, very interesting! On the same day as Lourdes we visited Grottes Betharram which is a must, a tour around some underground caves with a small boat and a fun train ride! St Bertrand de Comminges which was a beautiful little place. Tarbes, a big town, where we had a lovely evening meal. The children all enjoyed a day at the adventure park at Lannemezan, (10 minutes down the road) farm animals, tree climbing, pedlos, zorbing and much more, it was a great day out! Choice of two supermarkets to drive to close by. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful holiday in this part of France. Anne and Jacques the gite owners have put a huge amount of thought & effort into making the gite a perfect escape. The pool and hot tub were a big hit with our young children who were in them every day! Lots of toys, games and books in the house kept us all out of mischief. The gite had a fantastically equipped kitchen although the choice of local eateries meant we didn’t cook often. Each bedroom was beautifully decorated with very comfortable beds. The Gite is close to the Pyrenees, Lourdes, Grottes (local caves) and beauty spots. Spain is a short drive away, close enough for a day trip. The owners were on hand for help and shared their excellent local knowledge and tips. Our 7 year old even rode their mower to help cut the grounds. All in all a fantastic holiday experience.
