Beaches: The choice of beaches couldn't be better, with Cannes, Antibes and Juan-les-Pins – where HomeAway has a similar selection of holiday homes – all within easy reach. For sand, Antibes and Juan-les-Pins are the best and coincidentally also the closest.

Grasse, the perfume capital of the world, is only nine miles away, and of course there's always Cannes for particularly expensive luxuries.

Perfection personified; 10-star perfect for both children and adults - in all ways

How can one describe the bestest of holidays? Riveloup - house, pool, gardens, games, AND the river within 20 metres or so with its "rapids", tree swing, deep enough water to jump in, and shallow enough to check out the fishes, tadpoles, baby frogs - was 'just the business'. House very comfortable, roomy. We were 16... 8 adults, 8 kids! Kitchen had all that could be required....with all necessary aids, ie dishwasher, washing machine etc. Not to mention the 3 fridges, to cool the quantitities of beer and wine required! Riveloup is surrounded by gorges, mountains, adventures - so it can be both a pool and river holiday (for those wanting to chill out) and also outdoor pursuits, challenging and otherwise for the adrenaline junkles! LIesel is a thoughtful and delightful woman who would (and did) help in any way. We wanted 2 evenings catered for, and Liesel pointed us in the direction of Bridie|Simply food; excellent, very delicious, both meat and vegetarian. One thing, and nothing to do with Liesel or Riveloup, if you're hiring a car from Nice Airport, arrange to have it waiting for you at Arrivals - do NOT go to the car rental terminal. It was teeming, resulting in a 2 hours queue... I am SO SO glad that I found Riveloup and Liesel online; it was a wonderful family catch-up/holiday..... I recommend Liesel and Riveloup UNRESERVEDLY - as I said up top there - The Bestest of Holidays.

There were various irritations:- for cot read travel cot, which was not erected and had no linen or towels. For twin bedded room read bunk beds which for two adults was not suitable, the upper one was right under the ceiling! Clearly there was a language problem. The door to the main corridor stuck, so an awful noise was made, expecially when trying to be quiet in the night. One of our party was very ill so our final cleaning was difficult, but we were made to feel totally indadequate, although the owner did not charge us for this! What are his cleaners for!
