  • Enjoyable weeks holiday

We stayed as a group of 2 couples in this beautiful kept contemporary home, with the owner being attached in a sectioned off area of the house. The pictures do the place justice in particular the outside area which had a number of chill out and sunbathing areas. The pool was a godsend in the heat. The home is in a quiet residential area about a mile, and a pleasant country walk from Gaillac town centre. The only negative for us was finding only one shared toilet with out its own sink just off the kitchen, the two ensuites not encluding there own toilets. Despite the language barrier the owner was very helpful when needed and we had a lovey comfortable stay. Two couples from Chesterfield Derbyshire.

  • A charming and comfortable cottage in a lovely region of France

We have just returned from a very restful and enjoyable two week holiday at this lovely, private and well appointed cottage which is situated in a beautiful spot near the town of Gaillac. The description of the cottage and the view is exactly as shown in the photographs and we spent many an evening sipping a glass of wine on the terrace which was produced by, and purchased from, the vineyards directly below us. It was extremely hot during our stay so we were grateful to have a spacious shaded area by the very clean pool which kept us at a comfortable temperature and with a fridge of cold drinks a mere 10 seconds away. The quiet bedroom fans were extremely effective and kept us cool at night. The owners are most welcoming and met us with a bottle of wine on ice (as well as other provisions) which was a lovely start to our holiday. They live behind the property, which is great should you need them, but otherwise you will be left perfectly alone to enjoy your break. If you want to explore, there is plenty to see and do in the area with something for everyone within an hour's drive - walks, wine tasting, markets, hilltop towns, wonderful views, rivers, gorges, historic cities, cathedrals, museums, art galleries and shops. There is a huge hypermarket selling everything within 15 minutes drive but it is perfectly possible to purchase everything you might need from smaller local retailers. It is fair to say that we were not delighted when our two week booking came to an end. We would have been very happy to remain where we were for a few more weeks.
