We are regular visitors to the South of France at varying resorts but have to say that our week at Maryland 2 provided the most tranquil and relaxing scenario of them all. We won't repeat all the comments provided by previous reviewers, it is however safe to say that they are all true, a wonderful location. Unlike the other visitors we didn't hire a car, we preferred to walk for the shopping and use the bus for trips to the beach etc. Quite hilly in places, so distance walking won't be appropriate for everyone. We did eat a couple of times at the golf club, helpful staff and wonderful views. The swimming pool is ideal with plenty of sun loungers available. Prior to the holiday visit we exchanged several e-mails with the owner who provided all the information we required. We were most appreciative, so handy to be able to converse directly with the person who knows it all. For those of us preferring to book private apartments around the world this should be a facility available to us all. Ray and Mandy Clarke

                                                              Perfect relaxing getaway in Provence

Our group (3 couples) spent a week in La Regalide in early March. While it is not the best beach weather this time of year in the Cote D’Azur we had a wonderful time at this villa. We enjoyed sunny days and pleasant temperatures that allowed us to take meals on a beautiful terrace with a stunning view of the French Alps and their valleys. We wanted to visit the area, enjoy the company of friends and relax form our busy London life. The villa and it’s spacious grounds exceeded even our high expectations. It is nestled in the foothills of the Alps and although it is close to amenities like great Provcencal restaurants, cafes, and grocery stores it feels intimate and remote. The large Mediterranean garden with olive trees is beautiful even in February. It was too early in the year to enjoy the beautiful pool but sunbathing was still possible. The description of the villa cannot convey the feeling of peace, the fresh air ,the views and the feeling of luxury. Le Tignet also offers a perfect base from where to start visiting many interesting towns, villages and attractions in the surroundings. Upon arrival, reception by the friendly housekeeper was efficient and she ensured that we were satisfied with the villa’s cleanliness. The interior is very cozy with a lot of attention to the detail (rustic living room, high quality cooking utensils, comfortable linens, etc…) and we instantly felt at home. The reversible air-conditioning allowed us to bring the villa to a comfortable temperature within minutes and each bedroom had ample storage and very comfortable beds. The living room was excellent for evening drinks and conversation and we loved enjoying dinner and wine on the terrace with the evening light coming through the trees and fresh air. We’ve stayed at rentals before but this house was the most enjoyable we’ve ever experienced. Go and enjoy, but be prepared to change your plans if you have a busy sightseeing schedule - you may not want to leave the gates! Thank you so much for making our stay enjoyable.

The best get-away in the peaceful vast nature

                                                              5 of 5
This comfortable home away from home was tucked away in the woods by the lake . We wanted to have a quiet get-away so we chose this place. It was just perfect. This is what we imagined staying in the south of France would be like! But we can also imagine families staying here with kids, where kids can go hiking, swimming in the lake, etc. We could go to the nearest village for fresh local produce and wines, and had dinner in the front porch/outside area every night. We swam in the lake twice a day. The rooms were very clean, got a lot of light and we just wanted to stay there longer. We will definitely come back, if we can get a longer holiday, and would recommend to our friends/ family for sure.
