- Great location. Accommodation rather grubby.
We loved the area and the owner provided a great 'history pack' for visits to the museums and war graves sites. The house was beautiful externally and very handy for our dogs who were able to walk in the field behind the house. The interior of the house has been finished with lots of unfinished wood and so is rather dusty. The window frames and so on were also rather spidery and dirty. The electrics in the kitchen tripped out twice. Unfortunately one of these times was as we left and had just filled the dishwasher. We left the dirty washing and the owner gave us only 3 stars for cleanliness which was a bit annoying. If you want a good base for visiting the war graves this is a great base and if you don't mind a bit of authentic shabby-chic the interior won't bother you!

Wonderful weekend, wonderful owners who were very helpful in every way. The children loved the horses and the owners dogs. Lovely area for both history and rural beauty. We had a great time.We would willingly recommend this property.
