The property is in a very good location with restaurants, cafes, a small supermarket & a very good bakery just a few minutes walk away. The views of the river, old town & mountains are exceptional.
The kitchen is compact & well-stocked for everything you need to prepare meals. It's even a joy to do the washing up with the wonderful views out of the kitchen window!
There is plenty of space in the property. As there was only 2 of us, I can only comment on the main bedroom. The bed is a good size & comfortable. The bedding could possibly do with upgrading. It is nice to be able to step out onto the balcony straight from the bedroom & the main bathroom next to it is a good size.
I am not sure whether we were the first guests of the season, but the property could have done with an airing, as it smelt a bit musty when we arrived.
It is a great location for walking, with plenty of routes from the town. We enjoyed hiking up into the mountains, but if you aren't feeling energetic, there is a nice path following the river, through a park and along to the next village.
We did have problems with the front door lock, which was a bit stressful whilst we tried to contact people to get it fixed. Luckily there is a 2nd door that can be padlocked, so it didn't stop us from getting out.
All in all, we have a lovely holiday & can definitely recommend the property & the area.
The Hosts Jo and Aurelie could not have been more helpful, the house has everything you would need on superb grounds that the kids can play around in safely. We have a 4 year old and a 18 month old and it was great that the pool was fenced and there were lots of toys for the kids and the fact the pool was properly heated to about 28 degrees was a massive saviour as the weather for the time of year wasn't the best.
Jo and Aurelie were very helpful in letting us know where the best places were to go for sightseeing and eating out.
It's in a very scenic area great for nature lovers, but not too far from some larger towns and the coast. We all had a great time!! Thanks guys.
