Tranquil cottage in fantastic area

Have just come back from staying at this cottage for the second summer in a row, having visited my sister there the year before that. The cottage is perfect for our family of four (children currently 4 and 6 years old). The cottage is very well maintained, clean and as described in the details. My kids love the mezzanine bedroom, the bed in the main bedroom is very comfortable and the shower is hot and powerful. The porch is a real highlight and where we spent most of our time, including my husband having to work weekdays whilst on our holiday (the recently installed wifi made this possible). The owners have a washing machine on site should you need one. There is plenty of room for the kids to run about and play on the lawn directly in front of the cottage and there is also a very handy hammock to relax in. A brick bbq is to the side of the property and was utilised most evenings. There is a ditch on site but was of no concern or consequence with children of our age, and could easily be avoided. The location of the property is ideal, with St Vivien being an easy cycle on flat country roads (our 4 year old did it everyday) for breakfast coissants, the Wednesday produce market and summertime Sunday evening food market. We did plenty of evening cycles too, around the fields and to St Vivien port (great creperie). The Dutch adult cycles available to hire are very comfortable and meant we didn't have the hassle of having to transport our own adult bikes from Cumbria. Some days we cycled further afield, with some great cycling lanes in the vicinity, including through the coastal pine forest and along the estuary. I have visited the St Vivien area many times over the past 20 years, returning to it again and again (including 5th year in a row as a family) due to its large beaches, big waves, forests, cycle tracks, Soulac attractions and so on. Having discovered this property I wouldn't stay anywhere else. To top it all off the owners are very friendly and helpful. We will be returning....

"A really nice, well equipped house in a peaceful setting that was safe for our children. The owners are delightful. They were very patient when we arrived late, yet they arrived back at exactly the time we had agreed. The house was clean, the beds comfortable and the huge wood burning stove an unexpected but welcome addition when an occasional storm rides in off the Atlantic. The garden is huge, fenced and gated. We were able to let our boys roam freely. This is a great area if you like beaches and bikes and this house is a very nice friendly place to stay. We will go back."
