Cozy home in the heart of the South of France

Small but perfectly formed! This was a perfect romantic hideaway in the middle of a stunning little French village. On entering the house we felt like we stepped back in time, and our trip lived up to expectations in every way. The village is an excellent location for exploring the region, with fantastic trails for hiking/mountain biking at the top of the village, and we even did a little stargazing on a clear night. The little patio/outdoor area is perfect for breakfast and an evening glass of wine. The house itself is very small, but at 300 years old, what it lacks in size it makes up for in charm. We found it was clean and had all the necessities - coffee maker, internet, etc, plus lots of handy info and tips thanks to Lyne's helpful emails. There was loads of things to do near the house - we wanted to explore the great outdoors and were only a short drive away from a number of swimming spots (Plage de Roy with wild goats, and Roque sur Ceze with waterfalls), and a walk to the impressive gorges of les Concluses which was perfect for a picnic and afternoon hike. Not to mention the market in Uzes, and our absolute highlight - a canoe trip along the Ardeche river to the Pont d'Arc. Overall it was a really enjoyable trip - and we didn't even have time for wine tasting. I'd highly recommend to a couple looking for a romantic getaway into the heart of the south of France.

Well equipped and beautifully maintained conversion in quiet village: secluded, with lovely flowerbeds, deep swimming pool and shady outdoor eating area. Near bohemian ceramic scene in St Vincent la Poterie and not far from live Uzes.

                                                          a truly fantastic French escape

A short flight and a scenic drive from the airport and we arrived in St Laurent, very close to the vibrant small town of Uzes.
This spacious French dwelling is perfect for both a group of adults looking for an authentic French experience, but also for a family too as the villa comfortably fits a large group, together with lots of outside garden space and pool to keep everyone happy. We have been in both winter and summer and its ideal in both seasons. You can get the log burner going or open all the doors and let the south french sun shine in.
Whilst you can take the bikes or go for a short stroll into the idyllic countryside, you can also drive a few miles up the road to Uzes and experience the food/markets/boutique shops and music that the maze of cobbled roads and the picture perfect main square that the town has to offer.
I can't recommend this villa enough and what it gives you access to! We'll be going back again for sure.
