  • Lovely property; great views; very remote

We had a great stay. Very relaxing. Well equipped rustic cottage, slightly dated furniture. A really nice pool, but not heated or covered Overnight so Water was cold. It’s a twenty minute drive down a single lane windy road to the village, so quite remote. Suits some not others. For example a too long drive to get to Pic Canigou and the Train Jaune and back in the day. Some nice towns and villages along this valley though, esp Ceret and Prat’s de Mollo. The lake at Darnius is also a good day trip for swimming. Felix, Jane and George were really welcoming and helpful. The weekly social dinner didn’t happen which we would have enjoyed.

  • A great place to stay in beautiful surroundings

This is an extremely comfortable and well equipped house. I have stayed in many properties in France, and this was one of the most spacious; the kitchen had plenty of room for food preparation and cooking and there was comfortable seating for dining (indoor and outdoor) and for relaxing. The views from the windows and the terrace are superb. The road up to the property is a little hair raising in places, so we didn't venture out after dark, but we enjoyed our evenings under the stars on the terrace. There is lots to do in the area, including some lovely local walks, as well as visits to Ceret and its museum of modern art, Collioure, and the coast up to Spain
