            Fabulous!

            5 of 5
My husband and I spent a week here with his brother and sister-in-law. We were all so very impressed with the gite. It is very spacious and has everything you need. The bedrooms are upstairs and each bedroom has its own ensuite. Our room had twin beds but they had been put together so we really had a king size bed and it was very comfortable. The bathrooms are bright and modern. The main floor, with a large kitchen, laundry room, toilet, dining room and living room was excellent. The guys would go to the local bolangere each morning and get our baguette and croissants and we had lovely breakfasts every day. The owners were so welcoming! We felt like good friends by the time we left. Nola took us on a tour of the grounds when we first arrived and told us we could help ourselves to her wonderful herb garden. There is a nice swimming pool but the weather wasn't quite warm enough for us to use it. We were able to sit outside though and had a few happy hours on our sunny patio. We also had a couple of barbequed dinners out there. Jean-Louis came over the first evening and gave us excellent information on what we could see in the area, and drew us a map, marking everyone on it. We were able to visit most of his suggestions and they were all good. He also gave us a wine tour, He makes amazing wine! Each day he would drop over for a little visit to see what we had done and our plans for the next day. Not at all obtrusive, just so very friendly and helpful. His suggestion for dinner at La Table, in a nearby village less than a 10 minute drive away, was excellent. It had a lovely courtyard at the back where we were able to sit out and have our meal. It was a very nice ending to a wonderful week. We were all sad to go and would definitely stay here again if we are back in France.

            Peaceful Setting

This property is in a quiet location based on a working vineyard. The property is approx a 30 min easy drive from Bordeaux airport. When we arrived the property did not disappoint. It was as described online. The kitchen is well furnished with all utensils and equipment. The living area is spacious, clean and comfortable. The stairs to the upper floor separates the 2 areas. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were clean. Jean-Louis and Nola were always on hand if required but not intrusive. Jean-Louis has a wide knowledge of the area and helped us plan areas to visit. The property is within easy reach of St Emillion, Sauternes and many other wine producing areas. If you want good wine then try the produce of Jean-Louis. Each Sunday you can purchase fresh oysters in the village, goes down well with Jeans produce. The Village is a 10 min easy walk and there are various bigger shops within 20 mins drive.Loose yourself in the countryside its relaxing. If you enjoy photography like me then you have a choice of quiet villages, chateaus or Bordeaux itself. There were many elements which made this an enjoyable holiday. If I am in this area again I will stay at this property again.
