Words cannot express how wonderful ...

We had a superb week at Les Clefs. The house was perfect for our family's needs - there was nothing we didn't have. It was beautifully furnished and decorated - cool and relaxing in the heat of summer but we imagine it would be cosy and comforting for a winter retreat. We spent most of our time outside - with a choice of outdoor dining areas, free roam down to the lake and through the orchard and such a lovely salt water swimming pool. John and Jill were friendly and welcoming - making us feel completely at home and completely at ease. They responded to any issue we raised with amazing speed but never made us feel troublesome (we really hope we weren't). We particularly appreciated advice on good running routes (and where the nasty hills are)! We loved being able to walk through the garden and out into the vineyards and sunflower fields with abundant footpaths to explore. Also enjoyed exploring further afield - with plenty of advice on where to go and what to do. Thank you.

Rural paradise!

We spent a wonderful two weeks in Le Pige. This was our second stay - we enjoyed it so much last year, we had to return. The property is very well equipped, and is incredibly cosy and charming. The owners, Roy and Angie were wonderful hosts; they were always on hand if any assistance was needed, but always respectful of our privacy. The pool was very welcome in the 38 degree heat of August! We really enjoyed visiting all the local markets, including both the day and evening markets in the nearby bastide of Eymet. The location of the gite is wonderful for those who are keen to sample the gastronomic delights of the Perigord region. There are plenty of local restaurants and the seasonal "gourmande" markets are simply superb. We hope to return very soon!
