Relaxed, peaceful and remote

5 of 5
Clean and comfortable cottage in a remote area. Everything that you need for peace and quiet with history and Vineyards within a few minutes drive. The views are wonderful. Accommodating owners who were helpful but not intrusive. We stayed for a few days rest on way down to Morzine to ski. Would highly recommend and would visit again.

A rural treasure

4 of 5
A delightful and comfortable cottage set in a quiet hamlet. Plenty of space for 2 couples each with their dog. The impressive Canal de Bourgogne is a short walk across open farmlands, ideal country for dogs. Both Dijon and Beaune are easily accessible although we preferred to visit some of the pretty villages along the route of the canal, many of them boasting good well priced eating places. Chateauneuf is only a short drive and is worthy of a visit if only for the view of the surrounding country side, and a visit to the local creperie. Agnes and Tim live just across the road and were always willing to help with suggestions or advice. Agnes also arranged for us to visit the local vet with our dog in preparation for the return to the UK. The evenings were chilling off during our visit but the wood burning stove provided the necessary warmth. A lovely holiday, would certainly return. Tony & Sally

Delightful

5 of 5
Les Quinconces is a lovely property which has been restored with great care and attention to detail. The house is very clean and welcoming and is equipped with everything you could possibly need. The shower is excellent and there is also a washing machine and tumble dryer in the bathroom. Parking is outside the front door and the street is very quiet. Patricia lives in the apartment upstairs so is there if you need her but does not interfere in any way. One evening she invited us and the occupants of her two other properties for drinks in the garden which was very enjoyable. It is a short walk into the lovely old town of Semur where there are plenty of shops and restaurants. Also there are plenty of interesting places to visit in the area and the canal de Bourgogne is not far away. I would recommend this property, one of the best we have stayed at,
