Wonderful house, owner, and stunning surroundings.

A previous reviewer was correct that the photos simply don't show how lovely this house and it's garden/pool are. The owner is a true gentleman, available to answer your call or messages through the site, in a timely manner, and in English if you need. The owner, Philippe, has hundreds of leaflets for activities to do on your stay, most things are around 30-40 minutes away or less by car. The river Dordogne is warm and clear, and almost at the bottom of the garden, and in August was a maximum of 4ft in depth, good for a quick dip. Chateau Les Milandes is beatiful and so worth a walk/cycle/drive up the hill, and the connection to this property and area with Josephine Baker is fascinating. We would rate this higher than 5 stars if we could, easily the best 2 weeks holiday we've had - the property is interesting, clean, well-stocked with ammenities, in a superbly private quiet location, and within easy reach of fun days out for the kids. And having bikes available of virtually all sizes (and helmets/gloves) is just amazing. Thank you Philippe, hope to see you again soon !
