  • A small, much loved gem in a prime Dordogne spot
    5 of 5

Comfortable, small but well equipped property with a delightful outlook across expansive maintained grounds to a classic Dordogne landscape. The setting was second to none being peacefully rural whilst central to the region's main attractions. There were several pretty country walks from the door. Chris and Kate, who own Le Fournil and its neighbouring cottages, obviously put a lot of care and love into their holiday lets, they have a comprehensive knowledge of the area and are more than willing to give help and advice to visitors wishing to explore this lovely part of France.

Lovely situation, host very nice and helpful. Accommodation was practical , bed was very comfortable and large - but placed in a room far to small which made it difficult to get around in the dark . If you are getting old or infirm it was be hard work ! Lighting in the gite should be improved not enough lighting on work areas of kitchen. TV was not suitable for English speakers only 4 useable News channels available , mainly German - French tv stations. Internet service was very good !
