Lovely large house and pool, perfect for our family holiday

5 of 5
We had a wonderful week. The house is large and was perfect for us - grandparents, our two daughters and three grandchildren. The sleeping arrangements were just right - all the bedrooms were large, nice bathrooms and in the children's rooms there were plenty of toys and books. The kitchen was spacious with everything you need and plenty of space for eating indoors if necessary. The large pool was enclosed with excellent locking gates so you knew that the children were safe. Good BBQ and again good outdoor eating area. The village was closeby - bakery, fruit and veg shop and bar witin walking distance. Nicole, the owner, was very helpful and lived nearby. We had a great holiday.

Abeilhen is a great base for exploring this lovely region, we both had a really enjoyable time.

Nice property in a typical french village with a good location that allows you to visit places of interest. Beziers and Pezenas are not to missed and we loved Sete - well worth visiting for the day, staying on until the evening when all the restaurants are lit up, serving the best seafood you can imagine. Nimes is lovely, very clean and worth exploring the historical centre - stopping for a glass of wine and coffee. Do go and visit Carcassonne (historic walled city) for the day, its a must ! Also, travel a little north and check out the grottos and the Devils Bridge gorge. Lastly, don't overlook the little pizzeria / restaurant in the centre of Abeilhen, (up by the church) the pizzas are excellent and they are really nice friendly people. We would like to thank Maureen (owner) as everything was just as per the description shown on the site and our deposit was returned in one week, as advised. All in all, an enjoyable experience and we wouldn't hesitate recommending the property, the area and the company to anyone - hope to return in the future. Thanks again, Phil & Deborah Norman
