The Chateau Casterlaud in and of itself is very impressive, however Castelnaud is also renowned for its museum, where you can see an extraordinary collection of arms and armaments and also look at actual copies of medieval war machines. They also present an assortment of representations of medieval life all throughout the day, which you will find fascinating.

Beautiful property in a lovely location.

This is a very romantic gite which is very well finished and presented. It is an old building which has been modernised to a high standard. Lovely scenic location. Really enjoyed our visit. Would highly recommend. Thank you Ruth and Adrian.

Lost in France

5 of 5
The idea behind the title is that we were surprised how much space we had, inside and out. The property was what we would consider as a typical French farmhouse. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need. The rooms were large and airy and well maintained. The owners were very approachable and friendly and were always on hand to help and advise us. The pool and games room helped keep the kids amused when we were not out exploring. We would recommend the property to friends and family and would consider a return trip ourselves. The location is remote enough to be quiet but not so far as to be a problem. The surrounding areas have plenty to offer without having to travel too far.
