Formidable séjour

5 of 5
This was our second visit and this time we came with friends and the new ground floor bedroom with cosy en-suite made this possible and worked very well as we were separate and private. It even has its own private outdoor area so we were never on top of each other. The Barn was very clean and well furnished, with a small kitchen, great for making meals, breakfast etc. With a very sunny terrace immediately outside with a retractable sun canopy for alfresco eating. Alan and Jane were very welcoming and helpful going the extra mile literally when we could not get tickets to visit the Chavet Caves by organising the tickets for us. Will be back as this is a lovely part of the world with lots to see and do and not too busy.

Beautiful house in a lovely area

5 of 5
The house is very well presented and is nice and cool when it' very hot outside. The village is very quaint, and the location of La Mazet on the outside edge means that is is quite private. Could benefit from the trees being trimmed to take full advantage of the view of the vineyards from the rear patio, but that is a minor point. Goudargues is a short distance away can be walked to and has some good eating places and cafes.

Wonderful week

5 of 5
We were four adults staying in Christine's beautiful house. We were made to feel very welcome from the outset. The house is set in a stunning part of France. It is very spacious and full of interesting artwork. The pool is a great addition and perfect for a lazy day in the sunshine. It felt like home from home. Christine is extremely helpful - we were introduced to the local wine producer and experienced some great wine tasting. She is always happy to answer any questions. The village is in a good location for exploring the Gard. Not far from Avignon or Gigondas. Lots of opportunity for kayaking and cycling. Hiring a car is essential. Highly recommended for a relaxing and fun-filled week.
