  • A lovely location but be aware that there are 30 uneven stone steps up to the property.

The accomodation was fine but the shower/lavatory/bathroom takes "bijou and compact" to a whole new level! Very small indeed! It would also be helpful for us English if more of the brochures were in English and up to date. We were met by the lady who keeps the place clean for the owners, she was very pleasant, but were somewhat disconcerted to be asked for 300 Euros deposit. To be fair, there is a request for a cheque for 300 Euros deposit at the bottom of the website, presumably aimed at their French clients. For us to pay 300 Euros (we agreed 200 in the end) cash on arrival meant that we ran out of cash and had to draw more and were then given 200 Euros on our day of departure to bring back to UK. Having said that it was a lovely spot and a great place from which to visit Albi (the brick cathedral and Toulous Lautrec museum are a "must") and the Millau Viaduct is just stunning, not to mention several delightful little vineyards. And don't forget the Roquefort Cheese factory. Lastly, the little restaurant in the village is a delight, very hospitable and serves excellent food at a reasonable cost. We sat outside sinking many a Kir and Cappucino!

When we arrived to the hamlet, we had to smile. Exactly what we needed as we have a busy life style. The outside of the cottage is a bit disappointed but the inside is perfectly fine, cosy, comfortable and clean. People from the village are absolutely lovely. The "Minier" is an charming old silver mine village which I would strongly recommend. Lots to do in the area. We went swimming in the Tarn every day and have enjoyed going under the water fall (less than 2 miles away). If you are thinking renting this place, don't hesitate we LOVED IT!!!!
