  • Lovely Cottage in picturesque village

We had a lovely time. The cottage is very clean, and really well equipped, with modern shower room facilities. Our host provided us with a welcome hamper of basics, which was a wonderful surprise after a long journey. There were so many little things that our hosts had thought of, that are so often not provided - washing tabs, dish washer tabs, oven gloves, washing up liquid, shower gel, soap, bathrobes, the list goes on. The garden is large and secure, and the pool was lovely, all the bikes were well maintained and there was a good selection of various sizes. The village itself is very pretty, situated by the river, all the people we met were very friendly, and just added to the enjoyment of our stay. Thank you to our hosts.

Wow...where to begin? Upon arrival I could see as we drove down a private lane, it was going to be special. Greeted warmly by Marie and her Papa, we instantly felt at home. Then we stepped Old and original, rustic charm galore. It was like a fairy tale. Then I stepped outside, and almost cried. The sound of the babbling stream, hydrangea galore and shady trees were all a sight to behold. I may add we arrived in 30 degrees to a cool haven in the mill. I slept for the first time in weeks as I was finally comfortable! Marie took us to see the pool...more wows and although late, we could not resist a cooling dip. Plenty to see and do BUT so tempting to stay home in the haven that is the mill. I must add that the artwork all around is splendid. Marie is so talented and so lovely. We were treated to an opening of her art exhibition too...thank you. The girls enjoyed having a go at some art too. It was my husbands 50th birthday, what a perfect place. Do not hesitate to book! Missing you already xx Sonya , Pete and girls
