This is a spacious and well equipped apartment and we were happy to spend three weeks there in September. The area used to be somewhat run down but it is in the process of gentrification. Indeed, the flat (which has three double doors as shown in the picture) overlooks the outdoor space of the new Conservatoire (School of Music) and we were able to sit in the apartment and listen to an outdoor concert there. The apartment is a five minute walk from a major supermarket and about a 15-20 minute walk to the railway station and a 10 minute walk to the centre of the old town. The flat is very bright and airy and spacious and we found it cool even when it was very hot outside. We ate in the apartment most evenings. The kitchen was more than adequate and Willy generously provides you with all the basic staples you need, including milk and coffee/tea and some breakfast materials. There is even a very new and efficient washing machine. Willy is an excellent host and responds quickly to any requests (such as additional towels or sheets). The mattress on the main bed is a bit thin but we slept fine on it. The one thing to be aware of is the house numbering system on the street. Our taxi dropped us at what it thought was number 1 and we stood around waiting for Willy to appear when in fact Willy was already there in the true number 1 which was at the other end of the street (at the end closest to the conservatory). We would happily return again and may well do so.

Loved Perpignan, walkable city & good french/spainish mix of culture.
