We are a family of 5 and stayed with Amanda and Colin for two weeks in August. Communication was prompt and helpful, even when we had lots of questions. They even offered to cook a meal for our arrival! We arrived after a looooong drive and were met by the owners who gave us a brief tour and suggested we cool off in the pool. What a pool it is! The photos really can't do justice and we spent time relaxing there every day. The pool is saltwater and really gentle on skin and eyes. The outlook is beautiful and totally private. It was also kept meticulously clean through the whole of our stay. They had also left us a pack of essentials in case we didn't have time to pick up supplies. The house is wonderful, furnished with french antiques ( my daughter (11) said it was the poshest house we'd ever stayed in) but loads of convenience too. The broadband was fast enough to stream, essential when travelling with a teenager! Beds were lovely and comfortable, top quality linens and pillows. Definitely not your usual rental! Amanda and Colin are lovely hosts, always about when you need a bit of local information but not intrusive. When one of our party was taken unexpectedly in to hospital they could not have been more helpful. The setting is perfect, totally relaxing but within easy reach of lots to towns and markets. We would not hesitate to recommend this beautiful place.

  • Relaxing stay with stunning views, huge house and lovely pool.

We were a group of 9 - two families of 5 and 4, with teenagers and a 9 year old. Jacque's and Aline's house was so much bigger than we expected. There were 2 separate lounges and a very large double height hall with a massive fireplace that made us feel like we were dining as kings! The view was also beyond expectations with a full 180 degree view of the hills across the valley and beautiful sunflower fields which the owners farm. The house had everything we needed - we loved the little touches like the big chess set and the large stone BBQ which we took full advantage of. Down the road is a lovely lake with slides and paddle boarding which the kids loved. Places to visit within a short drive are a couple of medieval villages which were charming. Aline and Jacques were very welcoming and the dogs! All in all a wonderfully relaxing stay and would highly recommend!
