Lovely Gite, beautiful rural setting. Shame about the weather!!

5 of 5
We had a lovely week in this beautifully decorater, spacious and very comfortable gite. Mark and Lynda are very friendly and welcoming, nothing seems too much trouble! The pool is lovely - unfortunately we had a lot of wind and rain for the week, so we didn't use it (and the whole outside area - seating, loungers, outdoor heating, large garden) as much as we would have liked to! The area is beautiful, if very rural. The towns nearby are lovely, but be aware that everything shuts down for the afternoon as is French culture, and there is very limited choice to eat out before 7/7:30pm, which was a bit of an issue having two small children who need to be in bed by then! St Malo was lovely and seems a bit more cosmopolitan (so being closer to here may give more daytime options for young families?). Mont St Michel is only 30mins away, as is Alligator Bay - both worth a trip. Overall a lovely stay in a very well-appointed gite! Thank you Mark and Lynda!

A little slice of heaven.

5 of 5
Having spent a few days in Louvigne recently I cannot recommend the property highly enough. It truly is a slice of heaven. The location is very peaceful and so beautiful, the gardens and the swimming pool are wonderful and a real credit to Gail and Barry, who are great hosts. The house itself is stunning and has every amenitiy you could possibly wish for. Fully stocked kitchen including a washing machine which is super to have on hand, dishwasher, huge fridge and a choice of cookers. There is a DVD player with DVDs provided, books provided if required. A huge folder is available of local attractions and areas of interest. The town is within walking distance and is lovely with a supermarket, bakery, restaurants and cafes. Although for us the beautiful house and surroundings were all we needed and didnt want to leave. Cannot wait to return. Thanks Gail and Barry. X
