Beautiful! Well-maintained and well-equipped

5 of 5
We had the most wonderful holiday back in June. From the pictures, we were expecting the property and grounds to be lovely (and had spent a long time searching for a holiday property) but it was even better than we imagined. We had a very warm welcome from Dave, Katie and the children (complete with wine and nibbles) and felt immediately at home. There was everything we needed for a relaxing holiday and, importantly for us, the property had everything we needed to keep a toddler safe and well looked after: stair gates around the terrace, a highchair and a very sweet children's bedroom with a travel cot. Our daughter absolutely loved running around the gardens, feeding the chickens and having a miniature tractor ride with the children and ducks! The surrounding area had plenty to offer - lots to see and do. This is clearly a property that has been very thoughtfully and carefully renovated and maintained and having such friendly and helpful hosts (and playmates for our daughter!) was a real bonus. We will definitely be returning!

Best Holiday Ever!

5 of 5
We (myself and my wife) recently stayed for 11 nights at Le Noyer and couldn't imagine in advance just how wonderful a time we would have. David, Katie and family were perfect hosts - close enough to be available for any questions and tips and far enough away to feel properly secluded. The property itself is of a very high standard and manages to combine feeling cosy with a sense of spaciousness, which is quite hard to pull off! It properly felt like home for 11 days. In terms of location, it's just far enough away from the village to really enjoy the quiet of the grounds and the woods (not to mention seeing stars like I haven't in years once away from streetlights) but easily close enough to walk in for morning croissants and daily baguettes - which we did most days. As a base for exploring it's also great - the list of great places to visit within an hour's drive would keep you going for a month, let alone 11 days, which is just one of the reasons that we'll definitely be back in 2017. Finally - if the option of a meal at Chez Julien is available then grab it with both hands. Lovely restaurant in abbey grounds, with excellent food and assured but relaxed service.

Perfect! Wish I was back now!

Down a peaceful small side road surrounded by a beautiful garden. Only 2 minutes by foot from the bustling bastide village of Eymet. What a perfect few days away, The gîte is tastefully finished and very comfortable - sleep came easily, we were left wanting for nothing. Sue and Jeff were absolutely fab hosts! We arrived late Sunday afternoon and didn't have any milk. Sue not only provided milk but a lovely bottle of wine! They also took the time to talk with us about the experiences of living in France over a glass or 2 of red (as we are planning to move to the area.) Their info was invaluable. We also got into talking about Jeff's work in special effects on such films as Superman, Indiana jones, Star Wars, Labyrinth and Dark Crystal! Absolutely fascinating. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommend.
