  • Excellent, probably one of the nicest properties I have stayed in.

All the necessities and much more! The rooms are well stocked and spacious. There is a private garden and patio. Only drawback is that there is a minimum stay. If the house was available for one or two night stays I would be back in a ´clin d’oeil’ !

  • Absolutely perfect spot for us - beautifully restored gîte

We were delighted with this very charming gîte. It has just been completely renovated to a very high standard, and has very good sized rooms, a well - equipped kitchen and a good bathroom with a large shower. Upstairs there is a charmingly converted attic - not for the very tall - with a second loo and even a tiny bath ("la chambre des lutins", according to the proprietor). For us, the high points were the kitchen, the outdoor eating and reading area, and the fact that there is a piano. Whilst it's fair to say it's no longer in its prime, it was once a fine instrument and allowed us to play perfectly well. There was an excellent standard of cleanliness throughout, comfortable beds and sofa, various dining options (small table in kitchen, round table in living room, and outdoor furniture), and some furniture and fittings of real character. It was very private and very secure. Alix was the perfect host - warm, friendly, thoughtful, kind, welcoming, and she got the balance absolutely right between making us feel part of her large private house (where she also runs an excellent chambre d'hôte operation separate from the gîte) and not being overly intrusive. We fell on our feet discovering this excellent place, to which we certainly hope to return.
