  • Delightful retreat

What a super cottage. Off the beaten track but such a comfortable retreat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A word of caution in that the access road is extremely narrow at points, so be careful of the size of car you hire if travelling from the airport! We loved out stay and will definitely be back! Thank you.

  • Pretty & Cool Village House - a great base for Exploring
    5 of 5

This is an old stone house on the edge of a historic, fortified village. It's a peaceful location, and villagers will more likely greet you with a 'bonjour' than not. The house is well equipped, tastefully decorated and furnished; it stayed relatively cool despite 30+ outside temperatures. We liked the choice of outside seating areas that allowed us to choose sun or shade. It's a good road to Uzes, where there's plenty of hustle and bustle if you prefer, and some great old buildings and little individual shops. We had longer days out with trips to the Pont du Gard, Ardeche Gorge, Nimes, Avignon, Arles, Agde and Sete, as well as lots of drives around the local area. Still feel like we barely skimmed the surface. A great house, fascinating area - yes, we'd hope to go back one day.
