Petra and Jeremy's house was ideal for our family get together. We spent two weeks relaxing and taking in the local area. Jeremy was a source of fantastic suggestions for what to see. Percy their truffle hound was great fun! As owners they were available and happy to provide advice but not intrusive in any way which was perfect. We were a group of seven adults and there was loads of space, The house is comfortable with a good kitchen for cooking, and several choices for outdoor eating - either by the pool or on the front raised terrace with stunning views. The beds are comfortable (very important) and plenty of pillows! Great to have table tennis table, + loads of board games and books, TV with UK terrestrial channels and DVD player and the wifi works (but its rural France so don't expect blistering speeds!). The pool is a great size, with a good deep end, plenty of loungers in a real sun trap. Be aware the track upto the house is unmade but not a problem if taken carefully. The key test of any holiday home is would we return - the answer is definitely yes.

  • A slice of peace in the Languedoc

A wonderful gite in the most stunning countryside - beautiful views, wonderful wine and history all around with the Cathar castles and Carcassonne all close by. We had a wonderful week and wish we could have stayed in our tranquil little hideaway for ever. The gite was very clean and comfortable and well-equipped, we didn't want for anything. Annie-Claude was a wonderful hostess and was extremely helpful to us. When Willilam is older it would be great to bring him back to run around the hills...
