A beautifully relaxing and luxurious holiday home

5 of 5
Petit Bijou, is an utterly dreamy holiday home which me and my wife enjoyed for a weeks stay. It's given the title "Petit Bijou", but it is no mean small, the kitchen is very well laid out with everything you need. Particularly liked the fact that there was all the essentials already in the cupboard. ...no sooner had we arrived we had a cup of French coffee in our hands! Downstairs, past the kitchen is the marvellously luxurious shower.. ..wow! There are quaint little windows downstairs which provide ample light, and if it gets too hot, ample ventilation too! Up the lovely staircase is a brilliant living space, plenty of room for lounging around, a nice window to sit in and read. On one of the drawer tops is a brilliant hi-fi system, perfect, so I could plug my ipod in. There are giant cushions to sit on or a wonderful wicker chair – ( we took turns on using it!). Up above, there are big velux windows, which were great for letting the sun pour in. The mezzanine to the third bedroom floor is fantastic! It puts you nice and close to the velux window allowing you to watch the stars. Rosieres, the nearby town, is beautiful, plenty of place to eat, and more importantly, to purchase wine and daily bread. Mind you, there is a lovely wine cellar about 2 minutes walk from the house, you must check it out. ..very friendly staff. The main supermarkets are only a short drive, so it wasn’t a problem stocking up with food. A little further in the car takes you to some beautiful river locations. ...on sunny days the rivers run warm. ...and in some places, there's nice sand to relax on. ..so much nicer than being in the sea! We totally enjoyed our stay at Petit Bijou, it was spacious, well located. ..and extremely well cared for. I’d not only recommend this property, I’ll be going back every single year, it’s nothing short of perfect.
