  • Absolutely beautiful home - Such wonderful hosts

Thankyou so much to Leo, Kate, Nathalie and Team for a wonderful stay - This home is absolutely beautiful! The pictures just do not do it justice. We stayed as a group of 11 for my birthday and had so much space for everyone to relax in their private areas and mini houses but all come together in the large communal areas. The kitchen, pool and outside bbq terrace were our main social spots, the huge living room is so beautiful and spacious and would be so cosy in winter. The sunset across the bbq terrace was breathtaking and the perfect backdrop to create many memories and Instagram snaps! The house is tucked away, quite rural and peaceful which is what we wanted - no neighbours - perfect! We didn’t really get to explore locally and to be honest, none of us really wanted to because the house was so relaxing, no one wanted to leave! Every square inch of this place is full of character, style and thought and we felt truly spoilt to be able to enjoy such a gorgeous place together. I would highly recommend this home and it is well worth a visit for any occasion. I will try to find any excuse I can find to return again - but I guess I was only 30 once... Thankyou for such wonderful memories beautiful Claux De Bouscou!

  • An excellent large property in a peaceful rural location

The house is a holiday rarity with two double and two twin bedrooms, each with its own shower and toilet. There are two TVs if needed and a well equipped kitchen - two fridges and a freezer, microwave, dishwasher, double sink, plenty of pots and pans as well as consumables. The English owner is very communicative and the English couple (Angela and Ron) who look after the house are friendly and helpful. The toaster, a rarity in French houses, died on us but a quick text to Angela and it was replaced in a couple of days. Another English person looks after the large swimming pool. We wanted a quiet location and the house certainly met the spec. Sitting on the terrace watching the southern 'star rise' was great. Being this rural means a drive to the bakery - Parisot or Caylus - but they aren't far and I enjoyed the trip. I have no hesitation in saying that of all the French holiday homes we have had over the last thirty years this is one of the best. My only word of caution is that the property is multi-level, with the kitchen/diner on 1st floor so there is a bit of stair climbing to take into account.
