excellent townhouse in the heart of the old city

5 of 5
The townhouse is ideally located five minutes from the railway station in the old city. Bars, restaurants and shops all within a couple,of minutes walk. The house has been tastefully renovated with agenerous size bedroom and lovely bathroom. On the top floor is the kitchen/lounge with a very nice roof terrace. For two people this is an ideal short break. Carcassonne has a lot to offer. The castle is world class, the Saturday market is wonderful, and the canal, midi a delight. Train trips to nearby locations are very straightforward. I would highly recommend this accommodation and the area. We,went for a week and will be returning.

great place - big, with view into the main square. little balcony to sit on.

We thought this was an ideal property, quiet, but right in the middle of town. Everything worked well - shower, hot water, hi tech kitchen. Helpfully, most of the tourist info is provided as well. Carcassonne is lovely, though if you are staying more than about 4 days it is probably worth investigating activities further afield as well.
