The delightful commune of Plouescat is located on the English Channel coast, in Finistere, Brittany. This is in the north-western corner of France. Your holidays in Plouescat will be spent in an area that is right beside lovely sandy beaches, plus all of the best attractions of Brittany are within an easy driving distance. Many people choose self catering accommodation in Plouescat in order to experience the laid-back way of life for themselves, but they will also like to participate in a range of activities from time to time, of which there are many to choose between in the area. All cottages (or gites) are fully equipped with modern kitchen facilities and this means you are not forced to eat out for every single meal.

If you are looking to head to the beach, during your holidays in Plouescat, the long and fine-powder sandy beach adjacent to the commune should definitely suit you well. Here you can indulge in activities such as swimming, rock-pooling, snorkelling, sailing, wind surfing and kite surfing. There are also opportunities to book yourself on deep-sea fishing excursions locally. If you wish to explore the rolling countryside of the area, you can do so on two wheels or you can just walk or hike. Other activities include tennis, horse riding, canoeing and golf.

Lovely Villa in a beautiful area of France

5 of 5
The Villa was immaculately clean and looked fantastic when we arrived. There are 4 good sized bedrooms, one of which is downstairs. The property is very light and airy, and when the sun shines you can open up sliding doors on the front and the rear giving access to the beautiful landscaped gardens. The pool is without doubt the most impressive feature and we used it every day (sometimes late into the evening). There is a well equipped laundry room with tumble dryer, which had plenty of use. The kitchen is fairly small but we cooked meals for 8 people without any trouble! The Villa has a sea view. There is a short walk to the sea through a field. The beach isn't suitable for bathing due to rocks but there are some glorious white sandy beaches just along the coast at Plougerneau and at Keremma. Roscoff is well worth a visit too, for souvenirs or local French produce. The town of Plouescat (5 minutes away) is very picturesque. We enjoyed fresh bread every morning from one of the 4 boulangeries and the crepes were to die for! Just one word of caution - we arrived late on Saturday evening and the only place open for food was a pizzeria which had no tables left so we had to buy take away pizza and there were no supermarkets open. It is advisable to bring the basics (drinks, tea, coffee etc) with you if you are arriving late. We had a splendid time and Francis was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this property.
