Simply exceptional!

5 of 5
Steve and Liz run a beautiful gite which can be 110% recommended. Situated in a sleepy hamlet above the charming village of Daglan, their luxurious accommodation provides all that could be needed for a family holiday or for a romantic getaway. These gites are exceptional . The buildings are clustered together but with very discrete parking and recreational areas. All are beautifully designed with original features set off by modern craftsmanship; the timber staircase in our gite was simply beautiful. The bathrooms are luxurious and all equipment is provided. Finally, excellent wi-fi is complemented by both British and French satellite TV. But is the setting and the personal attention to detail that makes these lovely homes from home in to a unique destination. Steve and Liz could not be more genuinely helpful and discretely attentive. I foolishly locked the car keys in the car while we were there; Steve insisted on taking us shopping and ensuring that our holiday was not interrupted. He keeps the environment looking immaculate and the swimming pool spotless and inviting. And then there are the 45 acres of grounds to walk in and listen to the birds and the deer rutting...... or play games if you wish. At night the stars are magical. Daglan has two excellent restaurants and within a few miles there is a good variety of activities and delightful restaurants. Even our car less days were fantastic - what can be better than a gentle walk down through the countryside for a lovely lunch and explore of the river in Daglan..... So we highly recommend Mas de Course. Our dog loved it too.....

Beautiful house, idyllic location. Book it!

We spent two weeks at Le Presbytere in May 2017 and it couldn't have been better. The house is beautiful inside and out and the grounds very well kept. Although we were there in early summer, the weather was hot and so we made the most of the pool (very clean with cover) and the many outdoor seating areas and barbecue in the evenings. The rooms inside are well furnished (although maybe the living area needs one or two more chairs if there are four or more people staying?) and the kitchen well equipped. We took advantage of the chef that Philippe recommends in the house details on this page and we had a fantastic meal cooked for us one evening, which was a real treat. The bedrooms are beautiful and the air conditioning a real bonus when the weather is hot if you are staying upstairs. There is a washing machine and tumble drier in an outhouse which is always useful if you are there for some time. The garden is secluded withe ample parking and Philippe, whilst he came to mow the lawn and treat the pool when we were there, was charming and helpful at all times. The surrounding area is fantastic to explore with amazing scenery, castles, walks by the river, beautiful villages and a multitude of fabulous brasseries and restaurants in nearby towns and villages. Nadaillac itself has a wonderful village restaurant which you can walk to for dinner and when the weather is good, eat outside. We travelled with our dog and he was made to feel welcome everywhere we ate, which made our stay even more pleasurable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Le Presbytere. It really is as good as the pictures make out.
