We have just returned from a wonderful two week stay. After a long journey we were greeted by the owners, Colin and Patsy. We were offered drinks and this made a lovely start to the holiday. We were a party of four including my 19 yr old son and 14 yr old daughter. The property was ideal for us. There is plenty of room, it is comfortable, relaxing and had everything we needed including an ice cream scoop! The pool had a lot of use as we were in it from 8 in the morning whilst enjoying our coffees until sometimes quite late in the evening. It looks lovely lit up and the steps into it are helpful. Plenty of places to sunbathe and read by the pool. We also made good use of the barbeque and pool table. The village of Gabian is small but lovely to stroll round. The buildings are interesting. Also the bakers make really tasty baguettes and cakes. There are so many places to visit in the area. We visited Gorge D’Heric for a walk and went swimming in the natural pools, swimming lakes. The Mediterranean coast is just over half an hour away with lovely beaches, warm sea and harbours, we went kayaking and the town of Pezenas is worth visiting too. Lots of history and lane shopping. Patsy and Colin were really helpful but not intrusive in any way. A lovely relaxing and peaceful holiday. Thank you.

  • A comfortable cottage with beautiful views

From a wonderfully warm welcome from the owner, Richard Cliff, and his very friendly dog, Dougal, to our departure, we enjoyed every minute at Vines Cottage. Long lazy lunches and dinners outside the front of the cottage in the perfect shade of a mulberry tree, cooling dips in the swimming pool, and a well equipped kitchen, made the week very relaxing. The cottage is situated within easy driving distance of the numerous interesting towns and villages of the region, as well as the sea. It is certainly a cottage we would love to return to, perhaps in the Spring or Autumn when the weather is not so unrelentingly hot as mid-Summer!
