  • It gets better every year.

Just returned from our third visit to La Durandie and I really do think that it gets better every year. The facilities hadn't really changed much this time but the same 5* standard has been maintained and there is just nothing to complain about. The property is superb and the setting stunning - if you want a relaxing holiday in rural France I can't imagine that there is anywhere better. Having friends with us this year - they also loved La Durandie - we were able to enjoy the in house dining option and Karla provided us with a great meal (photos on the La Durandie Facebook page). La Durandie is a great place if you don't really want to be out and about - fantastic pool and lots of space to find a quiet hideaway if that's what you need. But there is lots to do and see in the area and the market timetable provided makes a great blueprint for the week. Annelize and the team always make you feel like friends coming to stay and nothing is too much trouble. This year we pre-booked (a few weeks before we travelled) for a meal at Le Moulin de Dausse (10 mins drive) - its gets booked up and we haven't been able to get a reservation before. Its well worth it - great food, great service and great ambience. They speak English if you're not too confident with your French on the phone. Will we be back? - next week if that were possible - sadly will have to wait until next year.

  • Beautiful location, well equipped and charming hostess

Set in a beautiful medieval small stone village, walking distance distance to restaurants. Comfortable little village house with a beautiful view. Very well equipped and clean. Hostess is helpful, friendly and charming. Draw backs to the village is bakery not within walking distance and WiFi/data reception is poor. I would definite stay again - fond memories :)
