Paimpol Holiday Homes & Apartments (300+)

Excellent apartment, immaculate, tastefully decorated.

5 of 5
The apartment is on the third floor, up 3 small flights of stairs. Tea, coffee, cider, seasoning were available. Fresh flowers made the apartment welcoming on arrival. Lots of information on the area & maps available, mostly in French. This is a very quaint town, the apartment is less than 5 mins walk from the town, restaurants & harbour. Very good market on a Tuesday, small Carrefour in the town, larger one just outside the town. The beach had some sandy areas & a swimming area has been made for when the tide is out. The sea does go out a long way, and is not accessible when the tide is out. There is a nice walk along the estuary, by the port, well sign posted & easy walking. Lots of excellent restaurants & bars in the town, nice individual shops, good Boulangerie, fish, & butchers shops, if you want to cook. Paimpol is a great base for exploring the area & would recommend the apartment to couples who want to experience authentic France. Dinar is worth a visit, very old historical town, as is Tiguier. Claire was very helpful welcoming. No wifi, not many cafe's or restaurants had wifi, so great an electronic detox.

A little slice of true chic france

5 of 5
Gorgeous bright & stylish property in a lovely chic French town. Everything you need in the house & in the perfect location. Loved wandering down to the harbour & the town every day with it's nice restaurants, cafes & patisseries. The beach near the house was the perfect playground for our daughter especially as we were fortunate enough to arrive during a heat wave. The garden at the house was also a big bonus- just would have been made even better if there was a slide or another trampoline for our 3 year old daughter to play on! Only downside about Paimpol is if you go out season (June?) then shops & restaurants seem to close & stop serving food at strange times. Brush up on your French too as very little English is spoken apart from Tania (the owner of the property) who is fluent & very helpful.
