Stunning house and garden, great owners

Ogeu Les Bains Review - 5 stars. We have stayed at the house for 3 consecutive summers, and can only report positive memories and a genuine love for the house and the area. If you are looking for a holiday that will have nice weather in the main, stunning scenery and total peace this is ideal. The House Over the 3 years, the house has evolved with small improvements made by the owners each year, such as the wooden flooring through the upstairs and the main living areas, or the re-modelled upstairs bathroom. There is ample space for 5 adults and 2 children. The upstairs bedrooms are spacious and the landing area creates a nice communal space. The bathroom is new and soacious, and the view from the window must be one of the most picturesque that can be found. It is especially pretty after dark, as the village below lights up and the Pyrenees create shadows in the gloom. Downstairs there is a very spacious, well-equipped kitchen area and a large dining table, an open plan area by a large fireplace where a sofa sits and can allow a very central seating point. There is a downstairs TV room, that seats for 5-6 people comfortably. To the rear are 2 large double door exits, front door and a large window in the TV room, all of which overlook the pool. The kitchen has a modern fridge, oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher. There a covered tiled area that allows outdoor eating under cover, which is especially useful to provide shade on very warm days! This area leads down to a gorgeous heated pool. Minimal maintenance is required and all the instructions for this are provided by the owners. A new pool heater was put in recently, again showing the owners commitment to maintaining the property to a high standard. The pool is gated and fenced to the entrance from the house, and secluded by hedging around the sides and rear. It is plenty big enough to have a decent swim and children love it. The area is incredible, get up into the mountains and take the artouste train and walk round Lac de Bious-Artigues, is its truly breathtaking! The owners could not be nicer, more helpful and supportive when we had any problems (including calling a doctor for us when our lad was ill) and over 3 years have really improved the property. They are flexible and genuine people that respond very quickly to any questions. If you want nature and to relax in comfort book it, just be prepared to never want to leave.
