A well equipped apartment in a pleasant village ensured we spent a restful holiday in Corsica. The apartment is new and as such is clean, tidy and the appliances are pristine. It is complimented with wonderful views across the valley and is located in a pleasant village with a couple of bars, shops, fuel station and a bakery. About 25 minutes to Ajaccio and Porticcio's beaches via a fun drive over the Col de St Georges. Not a lot of English spoken but we got by with our bad French and a lot of pointing and laughing. Locals we met were very friendly and helpful. The owner was very welcoming and did everything she could to ensure we had a trouble free stay. Stunning scenery. A great base for a get away from it all holiday.

Lovely accommodation with everything we needed, in the mountains for peace and quiet, yet still close enough to Ajaccio for easy airport access. Only found one or two people that understood English, and our French was just as bad. Did not make it difficult though, with a few hand gestures, we managed fine. Village people are very friendly, and happy to see you. Was a breath of fresh air for digital detox, getting back to nature, and reconnecting with your partner. We did lots of walking/hiking while we were there, and the scenery is amazing (especially coming from flat East Anglia!). Just be aware though that with some very curvy roads, it generally takes twice as long to get anywhere than you think it will! Communication with Monique was great with quick responses, and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely recommend a stay here, particularly if like us you have moved on from package/resort centre holidays and want to escape to a slower (even for a short time) pace of life, then this would be a perfect location.
