Superb Hosts and Property

5 of 5
We had a fantastic week at this ideally located holiday home. We had lots of space in the well equipped Villa. The pool was fabulous with a the added bonus of a jacuzzi incorporated. The outside cooking range and dining area was spotlessly clean and gardens pretty and well cared for. Our hosts were lovely and had even left a welcome bottle of wine in the fridge for us. The property was quiet and private and only a short walk into Nyons town. We will definitely be booking this wonderful property again. Thankyou Annette and Christian.

Highly recommended, enormously impressed!

We have just returned from our fabulous holiday to Chateau Colombier where we were able to to relax, explore and indulge. My wife and I with three children aged 2,4 and 5 had an amazing experience in what can only be described as unique surroundings. A two hundred year old property full of charm and character, large enough for children to explore with decor designed for a comforting ambiance without losing the tradition or historical value. The gardens are picturesque and the swimming pool is a must with children. It is immaculately clean and has the mod cons needed with family life. We shopped at the local boulangerie for our breakfast of warm croissants and pan au chocolat which also sold fresh fruit and veg as well as local wines of course, essential for the relaxing evenings under the multitude of stars, when the children have gone down. For the extras we needed we drove ten minutes into Nyon, a pleasant town which has modernised enough to accommodate our luxuries in the supermarkets but retains the ability to impress with it's unspoiled architecture. The journey from England was no hassle and surprisingly straight forward. We flew from Luton to Nimes with budget airline Ryanair ( 1hr 35m) We hired a car from the airport and drove to the Chateau following directions from Clare and the sat-nav ( 1hr 30m ). It was a little surreal to leave Luton and within 3-4 hrs be indulging in Provence! A big thank you to Clare for letting us holiday in your lovely home, answer all of our questions and enable us to experience the bliss we felt as a family.
