Very comfortable house in beautiful setting, exceptional hosts

We have just had a marvellous family holiday. The hosts were so welcoming, nothing was too much trouble, they were extremely kind. From the outset we were impressed as to how immaculately clean and well ordered the house was on arrival. It is equipped with everything imaginable in the kitchen, way beyond the basics a lot of holiday homes offer. It is a real home from home, rather than a seasonal rental. The house has great charm and comfort, we all felt completely relaxed by the time we unloaded the cars such is the immediate sense of peace and tranquility. The beds are high quality, linens plentiful, excellent storage as well as good bathrooms for each bedroom. The surrounding areas are beautiful, Eyragues a short drive with small convenience stores and several superb bakeries, a Friday market; St Remy or Chateaurenard with larger supermarkets. There's an abundance of restaurants in St Remy, we loved Rocco, Gus, Les Olivades and lunch at Chateau des Alpilles. Visits to Baux, the Roman ruins, Avignon, St Remy market day, the sanitarium where Van Gogh recuperated are essentials. We happily recommend the area and this glorious house and garden. Clean well equipped villa with an excellent swimming pool/barbecue area

We stayed at this villa for 2 weeks in September and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who wishes to holiday in Provence. The villa is clean, very well equipped for all your holiday needs and has a superb garden area which gets the sun on it all day, a large swimming pool and a hot tub. There is an excellent gas barbecue, together with various eating areas both in the shade or in the sun. The villa is in a good location close to the main roads which give you easy access to all the surrounding sites you may wish to visit. We managed easy day trips to Avignon, Pont Du Gard, Orange, Gordes, Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, L'Isle-su-la-Sorgue, Les Baux-de-Provence and Arles with enough time at the end of the day to spend relaxing by the swimming pool. There is an excellent well stocked small supermarket 5 minutes drive from the villa and as a bonus this is open on a Sunday morning (supermarkets in France tend to be closed all day Sunday). Emile the owner met us on arrival at the villa to show us around and explain everything to us. He was very friendly and helpful and quick to respond whenever we needed his advice from our initial booking of the villa to the end of our holiday. If ever we wished to holiday in Provence again we would not hesitate to book this villa.
