Our hosts Muriel and Jeremy made us feel very welcome. The apartment is contemporary and provided a stunning view of the surrounding areas including the ‘white city’ of Marseille (Archie 10 years old).our holiday was amazing, swimming, kayaking and snorkelling every day. Something for everyone, including our dog! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

  • Lovely Holiday Rental

The Blue House is situated in small commune outside Marseilles. It is situated high up in the valley and has great views towards Marseilles. The villa has been rennovated really well and despite being a rental property doesnt look at all worn. It has wifi and a smart TV that can connect to netflix/amazon. The kitchen is fully equiped. The pool is small, more of a dipping pool than a full sized family pool but certainly sufficient for a coastal villa when considering that most days we went to the Beach. There are 3-4 large supermarkets within 10-15mins drive but no local bakery in La Vesse. La Vesse istself has little to offer and the waterfront under the viaduct has fallen into a state of ruin with all the shops closed and derelict. Nearby Niolon is lovely however and only a short 20 mins walk over the hill from the villa. The only downside of this stretch of coast is that it doesn't have many long stretches of beaches and hence the small number of decent clean beaches are very full and busy. Saint Croix is probably the nicest. We didn't do the walk along the coast to Calanque de l'everine because our youngest is only 4yrs old but that looks beautiful and quiet. I would definitely go back to this villa, it was lovely and peaceful and the views spectacular. But if plentiful beaches is a priority for your kids then I think you should look west (Montpellier to Beziers) or east (Cassis to Nice).
