Lovely house to stay in and great to be in the village as we have always stayed 20 minutes walk away before. We love St Antonin and hope to return again soon.

  • Wonderful Village House

From the moment we arrived, late, bedraggled and tense from a terrible flight and hire car journey in the rain, we were welcomed and put at ease by our lovely hosts Clare and Tony. They have thought of everything you need, even towels for the pool. The house is so convenient! The famous Sunday Market, just outside the front door, was wonderful, as also the friendly Cafe La Halle where we went for coffee and croissants most mornings. St Antonin is a beautiful town, plenty to see. The house has the bonus of a swimming pool! It's bigger than in the photos, deep enough and big enough to have a good swim. Unfortunately for us the weather was unseasonably chilly and rainy when we were there. But between the showers, when the sun came out, the terrace was great to sit outside and enjoy an aperitif! (The weather is normally in the mid to high 20s this time of year. ) We loved the house, it's staircase, ancient and wooden, is so quirky. The showers are modern, plenty of room. Everything spotless. The kitchen is well-equipped, a really good oven, dishwasher etc. The huge table is beautiful. There are restaurants nearby, some cheap and good, ( Gazpacho) others expensive and good (Auberge de Sens) and others, well, expensive! We had a fantastic holiday at Clare and Tony's in spite of the weather, and thoroughly recommend their medieval townhouse.
