Lovely owners made us feel very welcome. Gite was well equipped, clean & comfortable. Gardens spacious. We felt instantly relaxed upon arrival. Great area for exploring the Dordogne. We would be very happy to return.

We had been touring France for just over 2 weeks and wanted somewhere for the last few days that was fairly quite but just on the edge of a village, semi-rural. So we were a bit surprised to find when we arrived the cottage was 2-3 km's outside the village of St Genies, which meant a long walk or use the car, but in the end this didn't really matter. We met the owner Nancy and her mother-in-law both lovely ladies and very helpful. Nancy english was a lot better than our very poor hit or miss french and if we had any queries she was always available to help. The only minor criticism we had was that there was no information about the local area village, shops and restaurants etc plus maybe a small welcome pack as we arrived late Monday afternoon and the village shop was shut and we had to dash back up Sarlat about 14-15 km's away to the supermarket. We really enjoyed our stay here, the cottage was full of character and it was so relaxing, peaceful and quite and just lovely to sit outside and have breakfast or evening meal. We definitely want to come back.
