  • Charming gite and lovely hosts

Stayed here for a week at the start of October. Camille was there to greet us and show us around, which was really helpful. The gite is full of character, we enjoyed our time there very much. It is really well equipped and we had everything we needed. It was quite cool in the evenings but there was plenty of logs for the fire so we were nice and cosy. The master bed was extremely comfortable so we slept very well. Benedict and Camille had kindly kept the pool open for us, very refreshing on a hot October day 😊 We enjoyed getting out to explore the nearby towns and villages, all full of character and charm. Carsaconne is amazing and worth a visit. Local markets a great place to get fresh local produce. Plenty of walks and cycle routes along the canals too. The only thing that we would have found useful was the information in the gite to be available in English too, but we coped fine without it and had a lovely week.

  • Dreamtown in Aude

Sis of us spent what little time we could spare in one of the most wonderful parts of the most wonderful country around. the whole atmosphere was made for relaxation and enjoyment with many other similar places just a few minutes ride away. if you need a bonus reminder of just how lucky we are to be part of Europe then do make this short but intense trip. it is understood that quite a few Brits have settled in this area and Montreal in particular but we were lucky and did not come across any. This property is ideal for an adult family group and with the added bonus of plenty of parking (gratuit as well) so who wold possibly complain about that? With places like Fanjeaux Limoux and Mirepoix just a short ride away there is no shortage of interesting day trip alternatives and Carcassonne gives the added bonus of a stunning venue for any possible activity planned. just one quick problem, you will want to come back again and a again. Vive la Belle France.
