  • Lovely property for families

We have just returned from our stay, and had a wonderful time. The property itself is a very good size - with 3 large bedrooms, a spacious living room with dining area, and a fully equiped kitchen. The outside space is perfect - with a large covered area with sofas and dining table and a large lawn with plenty of shade from trees. There were loads of toys, games etc to keep the kids entertained. The swimming area is gated off for safety and while not Olympic sized is just right for having a dip on a hot day (as it is not heated it was a little chilly sometimes). The owner (Phillipe) was very welcoming. There is not too much to do in Mios itself (a bakery to get your morning croistants, a tree climbing and canoeing center, and a couple of restraunts), but is makes a good base for exploring the Arcachon basin.

  • Good Location, Very Pleasant Home

The home is spacious, well-equipped, clean and has a decent garden for children. It is conveniently located for the coast, Bordeaux and the National Park. I also recommend the nearby bakery. Our host was superb and went well beyond what was expected to aid our stay. I would recommend bringing your own pillows and the beds are only standard doubles. The cockerel also woke us early every morning so earplugs are advised if this bothers you. We had a 2 year old with us and the converted barn made for a very nice holiday
