Second time we have stayed at this beautiful Gite, and we are not the only ones who have stayed more than once! It is fully equipped with everything you could need. A perfect, peaceful and tranquil place to relax. The owners, Averil and Edmund, are great hosts and will go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your time there . You will love the peace and quiet, yet with a 15 min gentle stroll you can be in the local village and enjoy a coffee, or meal and the local Sunday market. Its a great base for exploring the local region (and the wine), and we are only sorry we can't go back again next year, and will struggle to find anywhere as good. We will certainly be going again in the future.

This apartment is ideally located about 10-minutes’ walk away from the centre of Toulouse. We were welcomed by the charming Virginie on our arrival - her command of English was excellent and we received a very warm welcome. She had put together a guide to favourite locations in the city - this had been done very professionally and proved to be most useful. Continue down Rue Saint-Henri, the apartment’s location, onto Rue de la Concorde, and you find the most wonderful delicatessen almost adjacent to the best nearby boulangerie, and just before the rustic Concorde Café, a popular haunt for the locals. The owners of the deli couldn’t have been more pleasant; their friendliness towards their English customers, (with our very faulting French), was very typical of their fellow Toulousains and reflected the warmth shown towards us by Virginie. During our fortnight’s stay in Toulouse, the weather was uncharacteristically wet, so we spent more time in the apartment that we might have otherwise. It was a relaxing to be, with lots of different seats to choose from; the wi-fi was excellent, there was BBC World Service, the bed was comfortable. We didn’t sit outside preferring to make Nespressos as we watched the typically-French, galvanised guttering cope speedily with the crashing deluges of thunder and heavy rain - great fun. We loved Toulouse: its cosmopolitan atmosphere; the mix of old and young, rich and (sad-to-say) poor; its closeness to the countryside; the wonderful food. We were in a working city, not just a tourist centre. And Virginie’s apartment felt typical of where her own ‘at work’ friends may have been living.

The owner exceeds all expectations ensuring our stay was everything we hoped for, even when the storms came he would always make sure all was ok. The house itself is well equipped both inside and out the kids loved the pool and the freedom of the location which is both safe and secure. We would highly recommend this property to anyone and need look forward to returning
