  • Lovely property in a great location

Stayed here in August 2018 with family for two weeks and had a great time. The house is in a great location and well equipped. It's in a great spot with wonderful views across the lake. Location is quite private but it's only 10 min walk to the lake beach. The adjacent camp site shop is handy for basics (sells fresh baguettes & croissants) or there's a small supermarket in Doucier about 5km away. Lots of nice walking and cycling routes locally and we enjoyed kayaking down the River Ain. Only suggestion would be to have some outdoor chairs - we ate alot of meals outside but had to use kitchen chairs - a minor point!

The house is in a beautiful French village, far from the maddening crowd but near some other gorgeous areas of the Jura. The photos available don't do the house justice. It's extremely spacious. We spent some time arguing every evening arguing about where to eat! The garden is absolutely stunning. Needless to say my teenage kids used the pool every day, (me the jacuzzi). We enjoyed frequent rides on the bikes provided, the area is reasonably flat so it's fairly easy. We strongly recommend this cottage for anyone with a family, (the house is fully equipt for any age, high chairs, changing mats etc.) Obviously you need to have a car but it's easy to move around the surrounding area.
